Ms. Keen’s depth of expertise comes from vast experience on the world’s greatest stages. She is perfectly positioned to share a treasure trove of information about the art of performance: the singing voice, musicianship, and acting for the stage.
She understands that no two singers are alike. Her students have unique needs in all genres of music. For as long as she can remember, she has been on a glorious quest to explore the unlimited possibilities of her own singing voice, and she delivers that passion, enthusiasm, discipline, and energy to her students.
With over twenty-five years of teaching experience, both in the private studio and at university, she masterfully leads her students—regardless of age, skill level, voice type, or genre—down the path to a deep understanding of their own vocal instrument. She teaches healthy technique, including proper breath support and alignment. Beyond technique, she guides her students to discover the artist within, emphasizing the creative process.
Above all, she provides an open, caring, and safe environment for her students to explore what makes them unique. Her ultimate goal is to help singers realize their untapped potential by empowering them with courage, confidence, and character.
